The CPHP Mission
ACU has a long history of preparing undergraduate students to be successful as they pursue careers as physicians and physician’s assistants, dentists, pharmacists, optometrists, occupational or physical therapists, and other allied health professionals. Our alumni practice all over the world — from major medical centers such as MD Anderson to mission points in places like Malawi or Peru — serving patient groups in big cities, pioneering cancer research or providing essential care in rural communities.
Through the Center for Pre-Health Professions’ academic programming and co-curricular activities, our students develop skills that support their growth as compassionate caregivers. The Center intentionally creates seminars and workshops, shadowing experiences, surgical observations, global healthcare study abroad programming and medical missions trips to supplement ACU’s rigorous science courses. We prepare students to serve others in the name of Christ through a career in healthcare.
