Follow in the Footsteps of Jesus

I love helping people. We started placement for Communities in Schools at a local middle school, and I love it! I’m in the community of Abilene and seeing the issues that affect the students – incarceration, homelessness, poverty – and still seeing their smiles as they come in the door. After graduate school, I want to find a similar job.

Live Your Best Life

In high school, I was specifically passionate about kinesiology. I was a football player, and know now the toxic practices around weight and training that are normalized. I want to help people come to peace with their body and rather than work around it. My dream job is working with high school athletes as a life coach who helps them physically but also with identity too.

Kinesiology major, pre-physical therapy track; leadership roles in residence life, Student Government Association, Kinesiology Club

Don’t Miss Out

There’s not a single day that I don’t get stopped by someone while walking across campus, in the library, wherever. It’s encouraging and keeps me in check. My professors’ intentionality is always shocking and super cool.

As a fraternity president, I’m learning conflict management, leadership, listening, accountability. It’s testing and impactful and growing me a lot. I’m in a really good place to fail and learn from it. The connectivity and support of students make you feel completely found and seen. There are so many places to connect and join for anyone to find their place.
