Biology
The Department of Biology offers multiple tracks that include pre-health prerequisites for all health professions. For interested undergraduate students, excellent opportunities exist to participate in research with biology faculty members.
Biomedical Sciences
Biomedical Sciences students are focused on the areas of science essential to human health. These degree programs, shared between and overseen by the Departments of Biology, Chemistry and Biochemistry and the Center for Pre-Health Professions, are intended to prepare students for various healthcare professions and graduate programs.
Chemistry and Biochemistry
Students can choose a biochemistry major with a biomedical sciences track that includes pre-health prerequisites for all health professions. Chemistry and biochemistry faculty are active researchers with outstanding opportunities for undergraduates to participate as research assistants.
Kinesiology and Nutrition
From the action-packed excitement on the field adjacent to Wildcat Stadium to patient care in a clinic, the Department of Kinesiology & Nutrition offers several pre-health tracks, including pre-athletic training (3+2), pre-occupational therapy, pre-physical therapy and dietetics. Pre-health students have opportunities to be involved in research activities with our department faculty.
