The ACU Dallas Annual Review is the story of ACU’s dynamic mission and how it’s advancing into new frontiers online. All of this provides a transformative experience for our students, rooted in excellence in learning and a unique emphasis on vocational formation.

Meet Del Matthews, vice president of baseball development at Major League Baseball and a member of the inaugural cohort of ACU’s new Master of Science in Sports Leadership program. Del has spent his life immersed in baseball, from growing up around professional players to playing in the minor leagues and advancing to significant roles within the industry. In this video interview, Del shares his journey and explains how ACU’s program is helping him stay at the forefront of the sports world while giving back to aspiring athletes.

Addison

Student Spotlight: Addison Mouser

Recognized as one of Dallas’ most honored servants and community volunteers including being a congressional medal ambassador and intern for nonprofits like Brown Girls Do Ballet and Children’s Hospital, Addison Mouser has proven to herself and others what it means to be an advocate for marginalized communities regardless of the obstacles in her way. Now, earning her bachelor’s degree in Child and Family Services, Addison hopes to encourage other Black activists and students to reach their fullest potential no matter their age.

Student Spotlight: Lori Ruiz

From high school athlete to high school nurse, Lori Ruiz is proud of the journey she’s taken to become who she is today. Graduating with her bachelor’s degree in Health and Human Performance, Lori is proud to serve her students and athletes as a dual-degree holder and advocate for her student’s success while simultaneously reaching her next career goals to become a licensed school counselor.

Chandler

Student Spotlight: Chandler Delmas

Chandler Delmas knows firsthand that life is never as it seems. Close to finishing her Master of Business Administration degree and working as a Senior Marketing Manager for Amazon, Chandler is the ultimate role model for professional women interested in working for big companies. She is also a testament to what can be possible when we surrender our wants to God’s will in times of chaos.
