About the Program
With ACU’s online Bachelor of Science in Business Management, you will master the four functions of a manager, gain a deep understanding of human motivation and behavior, and apply management models in real-world situations. With many corporations doing business internationally, you will also examine the economic, legal, and social aspects of global commerce.

If you envision yourself at the top, know what each team does and how they contribute toward a business’s bottom line. Through a 27 credit-hour core, you’ll learn about accounting, the legal aspects of operating a business, macro and microeconomics, finance, statistics, organizational behavior, business strategy, management information systems, and marketing principles and the role each plays in day-to-day operations and long-term growth.

You sense your own leadership potential. This concentration instructs you in techniques for captivating others and directing a business forward through defined strategies. As all industries and organizational models require supportive, inspirational, and forward-looking professionals, the knowledge you acquire equips you to lead and manage formally and informally in a number of environments and positions.
Operations
Operations isn’t strictly a vision — product development, from conception to marketing and sales, differentiates many organizations. This concentration introduces you to the processes businesses use to source, produce, and deliver their products efficiently. Coursework goes over the use of planning and production management software and instruction in logistics, systems development, and innovation. Students completing this concentration will be prepared to excel in large and small production environments.
Meet the Program Director
Dr. Nancy Kucinski, Bachelor of Science in Business Management
Dr. Nancy Kucinski is a Professor of Management and the Program Director for the Online Business Programs at ACU. She earned a Ph.D. in Political Science from Texas Tech University and a Ph.D. in Organizations, Strategy, and International Management from the University of Texas at Dallas. Dr. Kucinski has more than thirty years of teaching experience and was a Dean at her former university. In addition, she is a guest professor at the University of Applied Sciences-Salzburg, Austria where she often travels to teach. She enjoys the virtual learning environment where she encourages students to engage with the course content as well as with each other. She is also interested in studying and researching in the areas of environmental sustainability, eco-tourism, and intercultural understanding. Nancy is married to Dale, a retired airline pilot. They live on a small ranch outside of Abilene and have one son, Neal, who lives in New Braunfels.

To be considered for admission, students must:
- Submit official high school and/or college transcripts.
- Complete the online program application accompanied by a non-refundable processing fee.
Students are not required to submit ACT or SAT test scores.
Graduation Requirements: Students must earn a 2.5 GPA or higher for all courses taken at ACU and at least a “C” in each business course.
