Our 100% online degree programs are designed for busy working adults just like you – intentionally structured to allow you to balance work, life and other commitments. As a student of ACU’s online programs, you are part of a vibrant, virtual, inclusive community.

Course Structure

Regardless of your obligations, ACU’s online degree programs offer rigorous learning at a pace that allows you to maintain work and personal commitments. Combining convenience and quality, our fully-online courses last for seven weeks and are offered in six sessions per year.

Canvas

ACU’s online students use Canvas for all of their learning and coursework. Canvas support is provided by ACU student success and academics. Support directly from Canvas is also available on a 24/7 basis for platform-related issues.

How to succeed as a student

TimelyCare

All ACU students can access free telemedicine, counseling, and health coaching through TimelyCare.

Software

All ACU’s online students receive software licenses for Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Cloud, and Google Suite.

Subscriptions

ACU’s online students receive subscriptions to key academic resources including:

  • Grammarly Premium
  • LinkedIn Learning
  • Right Now Media
  • Wall Street Journal 

Study Tools

Tutor.com – Free on-demand 1-to-1 tutoring is accessible in Canvas anytime.

CircleIn – A virtual study and collaboration space for undergrad students available through Canvas.

Online Writing Center

The ACU’s online Writing Center offers numerous writing resources and tutorials on APA formatting, source integration, and more for graduate students*. The goal of the Writing Center is not to just “fix” a paper, but rather, help you develop the skills you need to do an even better job on your next assignment.

The Writing Center blog also provides writing tips on diverse topics including How To Use Grammarly and How To Use The Writing Center.

*The writing center serves ACU’s online undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral students.

Alpha Scholars Online

Alpha Scholars Online is dedicated to ensuring access for all online students completing undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral degrees. Alpha Scholars Online provides academic accommodations, tutoring, academic coaching, and mentoring relationships to students with disabilities at no additional cost.

Technology Service and Support

Our online students have free access to the IT Support Center, ACU’s frontline support group. The IT Support Center handles all technology-related issues from password resets and account management to total computer failures. Call, chat, or email any time! Their hours and contact information can be found at support.acu.edu. This site also contains free access to an internal knowledge base containing thousands of articles for self-service as well as a conclusive list of services that campus IT provides.

Connecting as a Student

At ACU, we know student engagement is closely tied to student success. Thus, we support the creation and continuation of all clubs and organizations that add value to the online student experience. Student organizations allow students to build community, develop leadership skills and contribute to the values set by ACU by fulfilling the mission of educating students for Christian service and leadership throughout the world.
