ACU Roadmaps: Choose Your Own Route!

At ACU we understand that no two people have the same journey. We were each created with our own unique design and meant to fulfill a calling that our Creator instilled in us as individuals. ACU Roadmaps provide a guide for you to create your own rich experience, while preparing you for a meaningful life and career going forward as an ACU graduate. Utilizing ACU Roadmaps and the ACU Compass App, you can track your own holistic formation between academics, spiritual formation, experiential learning, career preparation, leadership development, and much more!

To help preview possible journeys, there are several ACU Roadmaps that students can utilize, such as department specific, program specific, and others. We invite you to use these roadmaps to learn about your opportunities, choose your own path, and make the most of your time at ACU, tracking your experience using the ACU Compass App.

Mark your progress across all five competencies on the ACU Compass app, powered by Suitable. Suitable is a mobile-first platform that allows you to complete activities, pursue achievements, and collect a record of your experiences throughout your time at ACU. The Suitable app + ACU’s Compass initiative = a holistic collegiate experience as a Wildcat. Earn badges as you develop spiritually, intellectually, culturally, personally and professionally and track the progress within the app.

As you work with your advisors and professors to build your personal learning experience, each of these themes mark your holistic growth year-over-year with intentional focus on one of these concentrations each year.

It’s not about the tests you take or the grades you achieve. It’s about who you are becoming. Compass showcases five areas for your holistic journey. Together, these five themes spread over four years of opportunities provide a roadmap that enables you to build a personalized experience, helping you to become the Christian leader God’s designed you to be.

Sharpen your mind through critical thinking, problem solving and engaging in original research or creative projects. Build knowledge in your field and develop relevant skills through innovative and experiential assignments and activities.

Grow in likeness of Christ, as the Spirit leads both individuals and communities into deeper love of God and others. Cultivate Christian community, hospitality, vocation, and wisdom through reflective participation in community practices such as worship, study, and service.

Mature as a whole person through mentorship, peer-to-peer relationships, and cultivating habits that produce wellness. Discover your strengths, become a productive team member and grow as a leader.

Deepen intercultural knowledge and the ability to communicate with and relate to people of diverse backgrounds, beliefs and geographic areas. Foster a greater respect and empathy for all peoples through building dynamic and mutually-rewarding relationships in local and global contexts.
