Abilene Christian University (ACU) is proud to announce its partnership with the City of Houston Office of Talent & Organizational Development to offer a tuition discount on all of ACU Online’s undergraduate and graduate degree and certificate programs for affiliated city employees.

City of Houston employees are now eligible for a 10% reduction in tuition across all ACU Online programs. Additionally, the standard $50 application fee will be waived for applicants from the City of Houston. This initiative reflects ACU’s commitment to supporting the professional development of public servants who contribute to the vibrancy and growth of Houston.

“ACU’s online programs are designed with a strong commitment to offer the flexibility and support necessary for working professionals to succeed,” said Chief Learning Officer Dr. Crystal Bessix.. “With more than 50 degree and certificate options, exceptional faculty and a commitment to student success, ACU Online serves as a reliable partner in achieving educational and career goals for our city’s employees.”

This partnership will offer ACU’s diverse array of programs to city employees to assist them in earning their undergraduate or graduate degree in programs specific to their line of work, as well as provide professional certificates to advance their capabilities further.

“ACU is committed to helping municipalities like Houston to find ways to upskill their employees for the betterment of their city and citizens,” said Dr. Matt Daniel, associate vice president of partnership development for ACU’s Dallas campus. “By offering versatile and practical degree programs at a discounted rate, this partnership brings ACU’s vision for academic excellence and vocational mission to City of Houston employees in their community.”

Alongside these financial benefits, all new online students at ACU have access to various scholarship opportunities specifically dedicated to supporting their educational journey. Since tuition costs vary by program, prospective students are encouraged to connect with an advisor to discuss tuition details and explore additional resources available to fund their education.
