Abilene Christian University is one of the best colleges in the nation to work for, according to the latest survey by the Great Colleges to Work For program. This marks the 15th time ACU has been recognized in the last 16 years. 

The 2024 Great Colleges to Work For results, which were announced in September at GreatCollegesList.com and in a special insert of the The Chronicle of Higher Education, are based on an annual survey of a random selection of administrators, faculty members and professional support staff members at colleges and universities in the U.S. who are asked to evaluate their employer on various qualities and characteristics. Only 75 institutions were recognized as a Great College to Work For this year.

ACU was recognized for achievements in three categories: 

• Job Satisfaction and Support
• Supervisor/Department Chair Effectiveness
• Faculty and Staff Well-being

“The results of this survey help us learn about our strengths and weaknesses, fulfill our mission more effectively, and serve each other well as part of a Christian community,” said Dr. Phil Schubert, ACU president. “The staff and faculty are at the heart of ACU, and our board and administration are committed to creating and maintaining a workplace culture that honors and supports employees.”
