Richard Beck - ACU Rising Scholars Online Psychology Course

Dr. Richard Beck

Richard Beck (PhD) is professor and chair of the Department of Psychology at Abilene Christian University where he has received multiple teaching awards, including ACU Teacher of the Year. Outside of the classroom, Richard is a sought after speaker and an award-winning blogger and author. He is an elder and adult faith Bible class teacher at his church and leads a weekly Bible class for fifty inmates at the maximum security French Robertson unit. 

 

Rachel Riley - ACU Rising Scholars Online Psychology Course

Rachel Riley

Rachel Riley (MS) is an associate college professor in the Department of Psychology at Abilene Christian University. A speaker at campus wide events and national Christian conferences, Rachel is an active advocate for marginalized populations both on and off campus, including foster families served by the Texas Dept. of Family Protective Services and ACU’s Black Students Union. Additionally, she mentors students through her local church’s college ministry.

Meet the Music Professor

Dr. Matt Roberson

Dr. Matt Roberson is Associate Professor of Musicology, Chair of the Music Department, and Cornerstone Director.  In addition to this course, he teaches Music History for music majors and Cornerstone, ACU’s freshman seminar. Dr. Roberson has been the editor of the Journal of Faith and the Academy and has written three books since 2007.

Meet the History Professor

Dr. Ron Morgan

Dr. Ron Morgan and his wife love to connect to people and cultures around the world. They spent 9 years in England as directors of ACU’s Study Abroad in Oxford. Before that they lived in Italy, Scotland, Alaska, Brazil and California. Dr. Morgan is fluent inSpanish and Portuguese. It might go without saying that Dr. Morgan loves teaching Global Connections since 1400. Join him for a compelling exploration of the Modern World.
