First Dance

Two teams. One journey. The dance of a lifetime. ACU Productions presents “First Dance,” a documentary chronicling the rise of Wildcat basketball and the men’s and women’s respective journeys to the 2019 NCAA Tournament. In the 2013-14 season, Abilene Christian University began an arduous four-year transition to Division I. Defying the odds, and in only their second season of NCAA Division I postseason eligibility, both 2019 teams made historic runs converging in rare joint berths at the biggest tournament in college basketball and its March Madness frenzy. Join ACU’s student-athletes, coaches and fans around the world in reliving the magic of the “first dance.”

“First Dance” is a two-hour documentary created by ACUTV with executive producer Hutton Harris and students from the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication.
