AACSB International has announced that Abilene Christian University has earned an accreditation extension for its College of Business Administration. Founded in 1916, the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) is the longest-serving global accrediting body for business schools, and the largest business education network connecting students, educators and businesses worldwide.
“Every AACSB-accredited school has demonstrated a focus on excellence in all areas, including teaching, research, curricula development, and student learning. The intense peer-review process exemplifies their commitment to quality business education,” said Stephanie M. Bryant, executive vice president and chief accreditation officer of AACSB.
“This accreditation extension affirms ACU’s long-standing commitment to quality residential business education and for the first time endorses the quality of our recently launched online business programs. We have once again showed that ACU belongs among the best business schools in the world,” said Dr. Brad Crisp, dean of the College of Business Administration at ACU. “While this recognition is gratifying, the most important comment we heard from our peer review team is how clearly they could see our commitment to the university’s Christian mission in all that we do.”
ACU’s College of Business Administration educates business and technology professionals for Christian service and leadership throughout the world. The college offers AACSB and ABET accredited programs, including eight undergraduate business and technology majors, a Master of Accountancy, and online MBA and MS in Management degrees. In addition to partnering with ACU-Dallas to deliver online business education, the college includes the Accounting and Finance Department, Management Sciences Department, the School of Information Technology and Computing, the Griggs Center for Entrepreneurship and Philanthropy, and the Lytle Center for Faith and Leadership.
