Abilene Christian University is listed in the “Best in the West” section of The Princeton Review’s 2022 Best Colleges: Region by Region website resource, launched on Aug. 31.
The education services company recommends a total of 654 colleges and universities across five regions: Northeast, Southeast, Midwest, West and International. The “Best in the West” list includes 126 schools in 15 states. Institutions are listed alphabetically by name and not ranked. The collective 655 schools constitute about 24% of four-year colleges nationwide.
Colleges and universities were selected primarily for their academics, said Robert Franek, The Princeton Review’s editor-in-chief. The company considered data from its survey of administrators at several hundred colleges in each region, information from staff visits to schools over the years, and the opinions of college counselors and advisors whose perspectives the company solicits. Students enrolled at the school also reported about their campus experiences through a student survey.
Abilene Christian also earned a top ranking as No. 29 on The Princeton Review’s list saluting the top 50 undergraduate schools worldwide to study game design. That list was released in March 2021 and marked the university’s sixth consecutive year to be included. ACU’s game design program is part of the digital entertainment technology curriculum, which equips students with the tools needed to create digital content and learn about the creative processes behind concepts and design.
