Our office exists to create space to connect deeply with God and others, to practice the ways of Jesus collectively so that we would see God’s love and kindness shape our community and the world around us. We invite you to join us as we pursue Proximity, Participation, and Purpose as modeled to us by Jesus.

Proximity

Faithful, dedicated, and life-altering relationships require time together. Proximity is our commitment to creating space to be present together as an ACU family. In addition to gathering as a larger community, we believe that the most powerful transformation occurs in small, intimate groups. This happens most often within Community Groups and Small Group Chapels.

Participation

Personal growth is not a passive process. Participation is a requirement for transformation. Whether you are a committed member of a group or organization, or if you desire to lead a Community Group or Small Group Chapel, we work to make creative avenues of participation for everyone at ACU. All of these activities can be scheduled and tracked in the Suitable Application.

Purpose

We gather as a larger community and in small groups because of who we wish to become, people of peace, love, and justice. People who look like Christ in the world around us. In a world full of distractions and invitations, the Office of Spiritual Formation at ACU works to increase our desire and imagination for participating in the work of God to restore and renew all things.
