Classroom to Career

As a joint effort between Region 18, Lamar Institute of Technology (LIT), and ACU, the Classroom to Career program meets the needs of your district’s students. Connecting driven students with mentoring faculty members, the Classroom to Career Teaching Track offers students the opportunity to pursue a career in education, become certified teachers, and enter your talent pool of qualified teaching aids upon high school graduation.

Master's Degree

For Motivated Paraprofessionals

Level Up with a B.S. in Integrated Studies

In partnership with your local community college, ACU is dedicated to improving the quality of teachers your school should have, the Level Up program provides paraprofessionals in your school district an opportunity to earn their Texas teacher certification through enrollment in the ACU’s Online Bachelor of Science in Integrated Studies program during their co-enrollment in Region 1’s Educator Certificate Program. Aimed at helping paraprofessionals connect their goals with their strengths, the Level Up program goes beyond the role of taking online classes individually and offers individual mentorship to expand their own learning and teaching experience.

Up to a $2,370 scholarship for Region 18 paraprofessionals.

For Advancing Teachers

ACU’s Master of Education in Instruction and Learning

As modern classrooms become more diverse and technologically advanced, the need for qualified teachers grows. With ACU Online’s Master of Education in Instruction and Learning, Education and Teaching concentration provides current teachers with the necessary skills, expertise, and techniques to respond to today’s industry challenges via innovative, research-based solutions for today’s schools.

Participating Region 18 educators can be awarded up to a $1,800 scholarship.

Two Doctor of Education (Ed.D) Programs

Develop your teachers to become scholar-practitioners who drive progress and elevate workplace culture. ACU’s online Doctor of Education in Organizational Leadership or Educational Leadership programs equip teachers to serve others by connecting transactional and transformational leadership strategies to make a difference in your school and community.

Participating Region 18 educators can be awarded up to a $4,600 scholarship.

Our Master of Education in Instruction and Learning program now has a new concentration; Education and Teaching! Current teachers who have their bachelor’s degree in a field other than education and have obtained an alternative teaching certification will have the opportunity to utilize their unique perspectives to meet the demands of our school systems. This new concentration is a great stepping stone for those seeking to further develop their pedagogical and instructional practices and advance their career.
