Whether you have obtained a bachelor’s in education, have obtained a teaching certification, or completed alternative certificate program, the Master of Education in Instruction and Learning program offers current educators the opportunity to improve their academic knowledge while becoming expert teachers capable of increasing learning for their students and peers.

Master of Education in Instruction and Learning

Program Description

Through the Education and Teaching Concentration, Region 13 teachers like you can utilize your unique perspectives and life experiences to guide students toward their academic success and growing curiosity of the world. This concentration is a great stepping stone for all educators seeking to further develop their pedagogical and instructional practices. You can also expect to be taught the foundational aspects of effective teaching as well as how to manage multifaceted environments for your students’ academic success.

Advanced Standing Available

If you are currently enrolled or have completed a Teacher Certification program in the last five years, you may be eligible to reduce the cost of your degree by qualifying for “Advanced Standing” to automatically gain up to 9 credit hours toward your M.Ed.

Program Format

Accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges, the M.Ed. in Instruction and Learning consists of 30 credit hours with a completed timeframe between 18-20 months. Depending on your standing and affiliations, you may also be expected to complete additional courses to fulfill specific requirements. This online degree prepares current educators to serve students through evidence-based practices, effective teaching, learning and leading techniques for classrooms of all shapes and sizes.

ACU offers a special discount to reduce tuition costs for current educators in ESC Region 13 who are seeking to earn their master’s degree and enhance their professional careers.
