Q: Who is eligible to enroll in Rising Scholars Online Courses?
Answer
Rising sophomores through incoming college freshmen are invited to enroll in PSYC 120 and HIST 131. Rising seniors and incoming freshmen are eligible for MUSM 240. You do not need any previous college experience or credits to enroll.
Q: How will I pay for the course?
Answer
When you complete your course registration, you will receive a payment link for the $795 course fee. Your course fee must be paid in full a week prior to your course start date.
Q: Can I enroll in both courses?
Answer
You can enroll in multiple courses, but make sure you have the time to commit to taking multiple college courses at one time.
Q: Can I withdraw from the course?
Answer
Any withdrawal from a course that occurs on the first day of the course or after, is considered to be a course withdrawal. A course withdrawal will result in a grade of “W” (withdrawal) for the course and will appear on the transcript. Summer 2024 Withdraw dates:
- PSYC 120: July 18, 2024
- MUSM 240: July 18, 2024
- HIST 131: June 24, 2024
Q: How long will I have access to my course?
Answer
The Rising Scholars courses are conducted over four-seven weeks depending on the course. You’ll want to keep a consistent pace to keep up with the community discussions and ongoing course activities. Additionally, you’ll have access to the course materials for 30 days after the course end date.
Q: Are Rising Scholars courses eligible for federal financial aid?
Answer
Rising Scholars Online courses are not eligible for federal financial aid or scholarships. Students must be enrolled in a minimum of 12 hours and be a full-time student to receive aid.
