When you give back to ACU, you benefit every Wildcat by providing scholarships and benefitting the one-of-a-kind programs that make an ACU education special. Below are just a few of the ways alumni like you are giving back.
Giving Back
Elevate ACU to Higher Ground
Higher Ground, Abilene Christian University’s $250 million comprehensive campaign, will propel us to new heights on a firm footing as we boldly take the next steps in our journey. This is the time to share our story, our Christian mission and our commitment to academic excellence with the world. We must move upward and onward, answering God’s call for our university.
ACU’s annual giving days came and went! On Tuesday, April 25, 2023, the ACU community will came together again to directly support our students from all corners of campus.
When you give to the Exceptional Scholarship Fund, every dollar of your gift goes back to students in the form of vital scholarships. Each year you give, you’ll know that amazing students are another step closer to realizing their dreams and living out God’s calling for them.
ACU Sports Hall of Fame
Seven Wildcat greats were inducted into the ACU Sports Hall of Fame in October. This year’s inductees included Angie Aguilar (’07) – women’s track and field; Ijeoma (Moronu ’12) Alstrup – volleyball; Cyril Bouniol (’11) – men’s golf; Mitchell Gale (’13) – football; Nick Jones (’12) – men’s track and field; Aston Whiteside (’12) – football; and Arthur Williams (’86) – men’s track and field.
Wildcats on a Mission
Grace Russell (’21) stepped out of her comfort zone to travel to Nicaragua last summer on a combination study abroad and mission trip. Grace, an environmental science major from Round Rock, Texas, was part of a nine-member team of students and faculty from the Department of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences who traveled to Jinotega, Nicaragua, in May. One of the main pillars of the Higher Ground campaign is to enhance and increase transformational experiences for all students. Programs like Wildcat Academics on Mission supplement traditional classroom teaching to create well-rounded, mission-focused graduates.
