ACU Announces Partnership with ATPE

Abilene Christian University is partnering with the Association of Texas Professional Educators (ATPE) to create more affordable educational opportunities. The ATPE is an association that advocates and provides educators with the products and services needed to help students thrive in their classrooms. Through this partnership, ACU will provide a tuition discount to ATPE members and will waive the application fee as well. The tuition discount applies to any online degree or certificate program offered by ACU.

The Association of Texas Professional Educators operates at local, regional and national levels with an appointed representative for each level. Members of ATPE can participate in elections at the ATPE summit in Austin to elect delegates, establish policies and formulate the legislative program. Members can also access resources, content and training for professional and classroom development using the ATPE Professional Learning Portal.

Educators can also become public education advocates through the ATPE Member Advocate Program. The program provides educators with tailored online training for local or state-level advocacy. Educators will learn strategies and how to advocate for educational needs with campuses, school boards, state agencies and local media.

“Educators play a vital role in shaping the future, and ACU is honored to partner with the Association of Texas Professional Educators to support their ongoing growth,” said Jessica Manning, chief enrollment and partnerships officer for ACU. “This partnership allows ATPE members to access more than 50 online degree and certificate programs designed to fit the demands of working professionals. By making our programs more affordable and accessible, we aim to equip educators with the skills to lead classrooms and communities.”

ACU is home to over 50+ online programs in education, marketing, psychology and more for working professionals ready to change careers or step into a new role. Our programs are industry-aligned and grounded in Christian values, equipping students with the professional and leadership skills needed to make an impact in their communities. ACU is committed to creating and providing affordable, flexible educational opportunities to ATPE members to help pursue new opportunities, step into their callings or grow as educators.

ACU’s online programs are administered through its branch location in Dallas and include 18 bachelor’s degrees, 20 master’s degrees, five doctoral degrees, five undergraduate certificate programs and eight graduate certificates. For more information about our programs, visit acu.edu/online.
