Abilene Christian University and Arms of Hope Forge Partnership to Empower Education and Hope

Arms of Hope Abilene Christian University (ACU) and Arms of Hope proudly announce a transformative partnership aimed at empowering education and fostering hope for disadvantaged children, youth, and families. This innovative collaboration signifies a shared commitment to providing academic opportunities and support to students, administrators, and staff of Arms of Hope across their Boles and Medina campuses.

At the heart of this partnership lies a deep alignment in mission and values. Arms of Hope, a renowned not-for-profit Christian care organization, is dedicated to providing a nurturing, Christian environment to transform the lives of vulnerable children and single-mother families. Likewise, ACU is committed to educating students for Christian service and leadership worldwide, providing pathways of access to empower individuals to discover their vocational purpose.

“We are thrilled to join hands with Arms of Hope in this monumental endeavor,” said Stephen Johnson, chief executive officer of ACU Dallas. “Together, we aspire to establish the ‘ACU – Arms of Hope College and Career Academy,’ offering a transformative educational experience that equips and uplifts individuals to reach their fullest potential for a future filled with hope and purpose.”

Troy Robertson, Arms of Hope chief executive officer and president, echoed this sentiment, stating, “This partnership embodies our shared vision of providing hope and support to those in need. By offering collegiate educational pathways for the single mothers and children in our care, we aim to equip generations with the tools they need to build a brighter future.”

The centerpiece of the collaboration is the establishment of the ACU – Arms of Hope College and Career Academy, which will provide Arms of Hope residents with access to fully online ACU degree programs. Through this initiative, residents will benefit from waived application fees, personalized admissions support, academic resources, and a dedicated scholarship fund.

Arms of HopeAdditionally, Arms of Hope administrators and staff will have the opportunity to pursue fully online ACU degree or certificate programs, furthering their professional development with exclusive resources and benefits, including tuition discounts.

On July 15, 2024, in Quinlan, Texas and July 18, 2024, in Medina, Texas, partnership signing ceremonies were conducted to formalize the ACU and Arms of Hope alliance. The events brought together key leaders from both organizations and served as a symbol of the power of collaboration in creating positive change and fostering hope in the lives of those in need. As both organizations continue to uphold their commitment to excellence and service, the future holds boundless possibilities for growth, empowerment, and transformation.
