Concentration
Tailor your Multimedia degree to your passion and career goals with one of two focused concentrations:
- Film – Explore the art of filmmaking—from script to screen. You’ll learn directing, screenwriting, cinematography, editing, and post-production while working on original film projects that build your portfolio and prepare you for work in film, television, or digital video.
- Sports Media – You’ll get hands-on experience at ACUTV with live event coverage, commentary, video production, and sports journalism—ideal for those who want to work in sports networks, digital platforms, or team media departments.
ACUTV: Hands-on Sports Media Experience
Students interested in Sports Media get real-world experience through ACUTV, ACU’s student-run television station, an ESPN+ affiliate. Here, you’ll produce live broadcasts of sporting events, create game-day highlight reels, and develop engaging digital content that reaches campus and community audiences. Working with ACUTV allows you to sharpen your skills in live production, commentary, camera operation, and digital storytelling—building a professional portfolio that prepares you for careers in sports broadcasting and media.

FILMFEST: Showcasing Your Filmmaking Talent
Film concentration students have the unique opportunity to showcase their creative work at the annual ACU Film Fest. This student-driven festival celebrates original films, documentaries, and experimental media projects made by ACU filmmakers. Participating in the festival not only provides valuable experience in production, direction, and post-production but also gives you a platform to share your storytelling with peers, faculty, and industry guests—helping you build connections and gain recognition in the film community.
THE LA EXPERIENCE: Short Film Intensive
Every other summer, multimedia and film students join theater students for a three-week intensive in Los Angeles to create an original short film. Students gain hands-on experience writing, acting, filming, editing, and producing their projects, while connecting with industry professionals and exploring real-world opportunities in film and media.
