PROFESSIONAL NETWORKING

INTERNSHIPS 

As part of our undergraduate degrees, A+D students are required to complete an internship, providing a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field. This requirement helps students build essential professional skills, expand their portfolios with real-world projects, and connect with industry professionals. Art Education majors will complete student teaching their final semester in lieu of an internship.

STUDENT ORGANIZATIONS

AIGA and ASID, our student-run chapters of the national organizations for graphic and interior designers, connect students with mentors, fellow student designers, and industry leaders to foster professional growth. Our chapters host events, workshops, and site visits that allow students to learn from experienced designers and stay updated on industry trends, while also building valuable connections within the design community.

A+D INSTAGRAM COMPETITIONS 

Our monthly Instagram competition offers students the chance to showcase their work and gain recognition from accomplished alumni who serve as judges. This initiative not only allows students to engage with A+D alumni, but winners earn recognition for their creativity and skill, along with prizes for first place.
