ACU Brown Library launches Landon Saunders Center for Joy and Human Flourishing
The Landon Saunders Center for Joy and Human Flourishing at Abilene Christian University is dedicated to exploring and promoting the essential elements of a joyful and fulfilling life, inspired by the lifelong work and vision of Landon Saunders. We believe that joy and human flourishing are achievable states that can be cultivated through intentional practices, meaningful relationships, and a deeper understanding of the most important questions humans can ask.

Thus Saith the Lord: Thomas Campbell’s Declaration and Address
Located in the main display area of Special Collections and Archives, Thomas Campbell’s Declaration and Address is one of the rarest literary productions in all of American Christianity. Exhibited here is an exceptionally scarce first printing from 1809 along with specimens from the literature of the Restoration Movement about this foundational document.
Max Lucado Collection: Tell Me the Easter Story
Located in the Learning Commons Max Lucado Collection case is a new library exhibit called “Tell Me the Easter Story” that invites meditation during the Easter season on the passion of Jesus Christ and features seventeen works about the death and resurrection of Jesus written by Max Lucado between 1986 and 2013.
