Abilene Christian University (ACU) and Success on the Spectrum (SOS) have joined forces to allow their communities to pursue higher education and highlight the exceptional work they do with children with autism. Through the partnership, SOS employees and affiliates will receive a tuition discount on certificate and degree programs offered online through ACU, along with a waived application fee.
By making higher education more affordable and accessible, ACU and SOS are helping working professionals continue their education, expand their skills and pursue new possibilities while continuing the meaningful work they do every day.
Success on the Spectrum is a national franchise and autism therapy provider offering comprehensive services to support children and families. SOS provides Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), speech therapy and social skills classes and more in centers, homes and schools for children up to 18 years old. Through an individualized, play-based approach, SOS helps children strengthen communication, social, behavioral and independent living skills they can use in their everyday lives. The organization also emphasizes parent involvement and real-world learning opportunities, helping children apply the skills they develop in therapy beyond each session.
“ACU and Success On The Spectrum share a commitment to creating opportunities for people to grow and make a difference in the lives of others,” said Jessica Manning, chief enrollment and partnerships officer for ACU. “This partnership allows us to support SOS employees and affiliates as they pursue their education while continuing the important work they do for children and families.”
ACU believes higher education should be within reach for working professionals ready to take the next step. Through flexible online certificate and degree programs, students can continue building their knowledge and pursuing their goals while balancing careers, families and other responsibilities. From their first course through graduation, students join a supportive learning community where faculty and staff are committed to helping them grow, succeed and prepare for what comes next.
