
Counseling Services
The clinic staff is comprised of graduate students under the supervision of licensed psychologists and counselors. The trainees are master-level students in the Counseling and Clinical or School Psychology Program at ACU. A licensed psychologist supervises each trainee and all clients have the benefit of the experience and expertise of the clinical faculty.
Counseling specialties include but are not limited to:
- Depression
- Anxiety/Stress
- Family of origin problems
- Abuse (child and adult, emotional, physical or sexual abuse)
- Learning disabilities
- Relationship difficulties
- Self-esteem
- Chronic Pain
- Phobias
- Post-Traumatic Stress Syndrome
- Smoking Cessation
- Play Therapy
Psychological Assessments
Psychological assessment and diagnosis is offered for:
- ADD/ADHD
- Learning Disabilities
- Giftedness
- Behavioral difficulties
- Oppositional Defiant Disorder
- Depression
- Anxiety
- Bipolar disorder
- Autism Spectrum Disorders
- Employment Assessments (i.e. TCLOSE evals, Aviation licensure)
Group Therapy
Groups are offered on a rotating basis, depending on client need. Groups offered include:
- Anxiety & Stress
- Smoking Cessation
- Positive Psychology
- Anger Management
- Survivors of Sexual Abuse
- Parenting the ADHD Child
All services are offered in a Christian environment that is respectful of all people and belief systems.
Scheduling and Fees
The clinic staff will ask for basic information which will be used to assign you a counselor trainee and determine your availability.
Counseling Fees:
- Individual/couples/family counseling: $10 to $20 per session (based on income)
- Group counseling: $5
Psychological Assessment and Testing Fees*:
- Single personality assessment (e.g., MMPI): $50
- Assessments that take 2-4 hours, such as: $150
- Intelligence Testing
- Comprehensive personality assessment
- ADHD Screening
- Assessments that take 4-8 hrs, such as: $300
- Full ADHD evaluation
- Learning Disability assessment
- Autism assessment: $500
Insurance:
We do not bill insurance companies directly at this time but will provide client with a receipt for services received upon request.

- Tuesday 8:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.
- Wednesday 8:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.
- Thursday 8:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.
- Friday 8:00: a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
The Psychology Clinic respectfully asks you to reschedule or cancel appointments within 24 hours of your appointment so that we may free up space for someone else.
From Ambler Ave:
- Turn south (towards ACU) on Campus CT
- Turn left on EN 16th St
- Turn left at fourth entrance onto Campus Center Rd
- McKinzie Hall will be on your left at the end of Campus Center Rd
- The Clinic Entrance is down the stairs on East end of the South side of the building
From Judge Ely Blvd:
- Turn west on EN 16th (towards ACU) on EN 16th
- Turn right at the 3rd entrance between McDonald and Nelson Hall
- McKinzie Hall will be on your left at the end of Campus Center Rd
- The Clinic Entrance is down the stairs on East end of the South side of the building
