The Biology Department offers students a unique level of access to research opportunities. Our research program is devoted solely to the mentoring of undergraduates preparing for postgraduate programs, including medical schools and graduate schools. Our research mentors provide many opportunities for students to use modern molecular genetic techniques and to travel to a variety of local, national, and international field research destinations. Our students have published in peer-reviewed journals and presented at many regional, national, and international conferences.
