Rising above his own health issues as a child, Bao Catteau, biochemistry major and Body & Soul participant, is striving toward a future in medicine. “I believe medicine is the mission field to which God has called me, and through the joyful times and tough times, I want to experience God and share his glory with patients, their families and coworkers,” he says.
Set on Success
ACU’s Body & Soul Program does more than provide a unique study group. Through job shadowing, missions, campus visits from professional school deans, mock interviews and test preparation, more than 85% of our students are accepted into their programs of choice.
Hands-On Education
Our students gain the most from their coursework during their job shadowing period. We have an abundance of trusted relationships with local physicians, dentists, pharmacists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, podiatrists and optometrists in order to provide exposure to your chosen field before beginning a graduate program. The Body & Soul shadowing experience provides opportunities and practice incorporating your call to serve others into your professional choices, observing a Christian healthcare professional for maximum preparation.
Service in Practice
Body & Soul participants are encouraged to take on the hard, life-giving work of going on a mission trip, with opportunities for international medical missions available. Experience first-hand how a global perspective of human need impacts lives – body and soul.
