Engineering

ACU’s undergraduate engineering program is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET for college and university programs in applied science, computing, engineering and engineering technology. In addition to ensuring  students are technically prepared, ACU’s engineering curriculum focuses on developing professional skills such as writing, presenting, project management, hands on skills and the ability to work effectively in teams.

From  working on  industry sponsored Capstone Projects with companies such as Raytheon and  NASA, to engineering mission trips to Central America, our students engage in high-class experiences to blend their classroom and lab experiences into real life.

Physics

ACU physics students gain extensive experience as undergraduates. Not mere observers of physics research, they are active, well-trained participants entrusted with key responsibilities in their work with faculty members and international scientists at the national research laboratories.

Students also have the opportunity to work with the  NEXT Lab, which stands for Nuclear Energy eXperimental Testing Laboratory, and experiment with using molten salts, rather than water, as a coolant for nuclear reactors with the goal of designing and building the first university-based molten salt research reactor.
