Business & Mission - Summit 2018
ACU summit took place in September with the theme "Wholeness in a Broken World," and featured several tracks, or Pathways. The Halbert Center partnered with The Lytle Center for Faith and Leadership to present a Pathway on Business Wholeness. The Pathway included five speakers that challenged attendees to consider the role of business in the life of a disciple. Read more

GAP: Amanda Daly in Cambodia
Amanda, graduate from the ACU MS Psychology program, is in her 13th month with an anti-trafficking organization in Cambodia. Through the Global Apprenticeship Program (GAP), she was able to discern where to serve and how to prepare. Read More

Business and Mission
This year at Summit, ACU’s Halbert Center for Missions and Global Service partnered with the College of Business Administration to sponsor an inaugural all-day track on Business and Mission. Twelve speakers presented throughout the day, coming from places as far away as China, Sweden and Kenya, and as close as Lubbock and Oklahoma. The presenters ranged from nonprofit founders and small for-profit business entrepreneurs to executives and founders of large for-profit businesses with a missional purpose. Read more

Thompson Family in Peru
High school sweethearts, Justin and Alison Thompson, took an interesting path to Lima, Peru, where they have been serving as missionaries for almost ten years. Their team of Aggies and Wildcats was formed and prepared by the Halbert Center for Missions and Global Service before spending several months of intensive language preparation in Costa Rica, and moving to Lima in 2009.
