Tuition Benefit

As an employee of Caris Life Sciences, you are eligible for a 10% reduction on tuition across all ACU online programs. Additionally, our standard $50 application fee will be waived when you apply. All new online students are eligible for a variety of scholarship opportunities. Because tuition varies by program, you should connect with an advisor to discuss tuition and additional resources available to you to fund your education.

Our Master of Science in Precision Medicine program will provide students with both theory and skills to apply the latest molecular diagnostic techniques and analytics procedures to assist in the planning and implementation of precise treatment protocols for patients confronting serious illness, as well as a foundation for effective laboratory management.

Certificate in Precision Medicine

Our Certificate in Precision Medicine program is designed for medical professionals, clinical researchers, and healthcare administrators seeking foundational scientific and operations expertise pertinent to the evolving clinical advances in precision medicine.

Certificate in Precision Medicine Administration

Our Certificate in Precision Medicine Administration program provides an introduction to the science of precision medicine through teaching the biology of cancer, while also emphasizing major concepts in healthcare administration, such as health policy, revenue cycle management, informatics, and innovations and trends in healthcare.

Faculty Spotlight: Dr. Allison Sherier

Working as a scientist at Caris Life Sciences and adjunct professor in the Precision Medicine program at ACU Online, Dr. Allison Sherier is highly interested in furthering both the educational development of her fellow Caris colleagues as well as graduate students interested in oncological research. As part of Commencement exercises Saturday, May 13, Abilene Christian University presented David D. Halbert with an honorary doctorate. Halbert is the chairman, founder and CEO of Caris Life Sciences, a pioneering precision medicine company that helps patients receive better quality care through access to individualized medicine.

Student Spotlight: Dr. Maggie Walters

Fresh out of college from sunny Arizona, Maggie Walters always knew she wanted to serve patients with the power and knowledge of biotechnology. Working in the pathology department at Caris Life Sciences and finishing her master’s degree in Precision Medicine with a 4.0 GPA, Maggie is a testament to what it means to joyfully care for patients battling cancer throughout the world.

Faculty Spotlight: Jon Wiener

Dr. Jon Wiener is one of the country’s leading minds in cancer research and microbiology. From leading teams at world-class medical centers to serving as an academic dean to teaching biology at local community colleges, all of these opportunities have led Jon to his current position as the program director for Precision Medicine at ACU Online. Jon is hyper-focused on building a program that equips dedicated scientists and researchers in the collaborative efforts of technology and medicine to prevent and detect cancer and other illnesses early on.
