ACU’s Duncum Center provides a beautiful, accessible space for the MS-SLP program where graduate students study and work (with easy-access parking!)
The Center for Speech, Language and Learning, housed within the Duncum Center, is a beautiful, well-equipped clinic providing speech/language/communication services to the Abilene community. Special expertise is offered for patients recovering from laryngectomies, patients managing Parkinson’s Disease, individuals using augmentative/alternative communication systems (AAC), autistic children and teenagers, young adults with developmental disabilities, Spanish-speaking individuals, and others.
The Bilingual Emphasis Program provides special training and clinical experiences for multilingual students accepted to the program.
The Hospital Orientation Program (HOP) is a special five-week program with a small group of 8-10 students led by a local acute-care SLP specialist. First-year graduate students are familiarized with the terminology, tasks and expectations of hospital practice before placement in a hospital externship.

The community clinical placements will pair you with outstanding local supervisors providing clinical experiences in numerous Dallas hospitals, clinics and schools.
