Nashville filmmaker Brent McCorkle was on the Abilene Christian University campus in May talking to students interested in the film industry. The director and writer of the 2012 film Unconditional spoke to students at the invitation of ACU alumnus and award-winning music video producer Randy Brewer (’93), owner of Nashville-based Revolution Pictures.
Originally from the Metroplex, McCorkle studied film at Southern Methodist University. He has written, directed, scored and produced numerous award-winning short films. He is a father of five, and many of his films address the plight of abandoned or suffering children.
Listen to McCorkle talk about the power of storytelling and the new reality for aspiring filmmakers – that there are no barriers to entry. Virtually anyone, he says, can share his or her unique, unfiltered voice with the world through film or video.
