Hal Runkel (’00 M.M.F.T.), best-selling author of ScreamFree Parenting, ScreamFree Marriage and The Self-Centered Marriage, spoke on the Abilene Christian University campus this semester as part of the university’s Sacred Relationships series.
Runkel, a graduate of ACU’s Master of Marriage and Family Therapy program and a 2012 recipient of ACU’s Distinguished Alumni Citation, is an expert on helping families face conflict and create great relationships. He also earned a M.S. in biblical and related studies from ACU in 1998.
The licensed therapist, relationship coach, international speaker and organizational consultant is founder and president of The ScreamFree Institute, an international training organization dedicated to calming the world, one relationship at a time. He presents the ScreamFree relationship programs to audiences around the world through live training events, teleconferences, webinars and publications. In addition, he actively trains and supervises hundreds of other family professionals working to further the ScreamFree movement.
