Memorial services are scheduled for tomorrow in Decatur, Texas, for Robert O. Isham, who served as a trustee of Abilene Christian University from 1985-95. Isham, 73, died July 28.
Born Feb. 6, 1939, in Overton, Texas, he earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from The University of Texas at Arlington in 1963. He married Jeanne Sue Hopper on Aug. 20, 1960.
He was a member of the Decatur Church of Christ for 37 years, serving 28 years an an elder. He was past president of the Wise Regional Health System Board of Trustees, past president of the Decatur Library Board, and a longtime member of the Texas State Historical Society and the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Survivors include his wife, Sue; a daughter, Angela (Isham ’84) Duncum and her husband, Mark (’83); and two sons, David Isham (’87) and his wife, Karen (Lowe ’88), and Mark Isham (’93) and his wife, Joy.
Services tomorrow are at 2 p.m. at Decatur Church of Christ, with visitation tonight from 6-7 p.m. at Coker-Hawkins Funderal Home in Decatur. Memorials can be made to the Decatur Church of Christ Mission Fund.
