Fans of the 11-0 and No. 2-ranked football team from Abilene Christian University have three ways they can buy tickets to this Saturday’s home playoff game with No. 8-ranked University of Central Missouri.
The Wildcats, ranked No. 1 in Super Region 4, earned a first-round bye in the NCAA Division II national playoffs, and will host UCM at noon Saturday in a second-round game in Abilene’s Shotwell Stadium. The Mules (10-2) won their first-round game Nov. 20 with ACU rival West Texas A&M, hammering the Buffs 55-35 in Warrensburg, Mo.
The first 500 fans to arrive when the stadium gates open at 10:30 a.m. will be treated to a free lunch catered by world-famous Harold’s Pit Bar-B-Q in Abilene. Music, air castles and giveaways will be a part of the pregame party.
This is ACU’s fifth consecutive year to make the national playoffs, and the first time a Wildcat football team has ever finished its regular season 11-0.
