Don T. Morris (’91), the grandson of ACU’s seventh president, Dr. Don H. Morris, and a former director of public relations for his alma mater, died Nov. 5 at age 44. Morris earned a B.A. degree in journalism from ACU, and was managing editor of The Optimist student newspaper his senior year.
The owner of the Tommy Morris Agency in Abilene, Morris had battled cancer for two years. He was active in leadership on the West Texas Rehabilitation Center board.
ACU president Dr. Phil Schubert (’91) will be one of the speakers at Morris’ graveside service at 11 a.m. Monday at Elmwood Memorial Park.
