Benefit concert to honor ’78 alum Phil Gage

Friends of the late Phil Gage (’78) and his family have a concert featuring The Vocal Majority chorus planned for Thursday, Nov. 4, at First Baptist Church in Coppell, Texas.
Gage and his 20-year-old daughter, Rachel, were killed in an automobile accident in April. His wife, Debby (Kirkpatrick ’75) and Rachel’s 2-year-old son, Zach, were injured in the accident but survived.
The Gage Family Scholarship is being established at Abilene Christian University, and proceeds from the concert will benefit it.
Gage majored in music at ACU, and participated in A Cappella Chorus and Opera Workshops. Later, he performed with the Abilene Classical Chorus and the Dallas Symphony Chorus. Gage was a worship leader and praise team member at several congregations, including Minter Lane Church of Christ in Abilene and Riverside Church of Christ in Coppell, Texas.
Tickets are $20 each to hear the award-winning men’s chorus from Dallas and can be purchased here or by calling 972-462-8759.
