The Rocketboys may be based in Austin these days, but they know where best to launch their new LP (“Wellwisher”) and national tour: back home in Abilene.
The indie/ambient band – composed largely of former Abilene Christian University alumni Brandon Kinder (’06), Daniel Wheeler (’06), Justin Wiseman (’07), Mitch Holt (’07), Josh Campbell (’07) and Alex Bhore – performs this Saturday night (Oct. 30) at Monk’s Coffee Shop.
In August, MTV’s “Teen Mom” show featured six of the band’s songs.
