ACU named Small Nonprofit of the Year at national investor conference

Institutional Investor Publications and Information Management Network presented Abilene Christian University the award for Small Nonprofit Endowment of the Year at a conference in San Diego last week.

The 9th Annual Nonprofit Awards for Excellence honored foundations, endowments, consultants, fund managers and marketers for excellence and innovation in nonprofit investing. Institutional Investor is an international business-to-business publisher, focused primarily on international finance. Information Management Network is an organizer of conferences on institutional finance and investment.

"We're delighted to have our administrative team and investment committee recognized for our innovation in endowment management," said Jack Rich, chief investment officer.

ACU's endowment, which is currently more than $250 million, has more than doubled in the past decade. In 2006 ACU was ranked fourth among 700 colleges and universities nationwide and first among Texas universities for its investment performance over a 12-month period. ACU consistently ranks in the top quartile of endowment performance among colleges and universities.
