ACU to award Alpha Chi honors at spring Commencement

Abilene Christian University will honor 29 students with the Alpha Chi Award during spring Commencement, May 9. The award is given to students with a grade point average of 4.0 or 3.99.

Students being given the Alpha Chi Award include:

During Commencement, ACU plans to present 550 undergraduate and 109 graduate degrees, including five doctoral degrees, to students during two ceremonies in Moody Coliseum.

Commencement for the College of Biblical Studies, College of Business Administration, College of Education and Human Services and the Patty Hanks Shelton School of Nursing will take place at 11 a.m. The ceremony for the College of Arts and Sciences will be held at 3 p.m.

Dr. John T. Willis, Burton Coffman Chair of Biblical Studies and professor of Old Testament, will be giving the charge to students.

Each Commencement will be followed by a casual reception for graduates and their families in the mall area of the ACU campus.
