Two members of the Abilene Christian University community were recently named by AbileneBiz as part of the "Top 20 under 40," a list of young business up-and-comers in the Abilene area. Matt Boisvert, assistant dean of marketing operations in ACU’s College of Business Administration, and Anthony Williams, chief of Auxiliary Services Offices at ACU, were both listed as young success stories.
"We are extremely proud of Anthony and Matt, as well as the seven other alumni who are among Abilene's 'top 20 under 40,'" said Dr. Royce Money, ACU president. "They are representative of the many talented people on campus who work daily with our students - tomorrow's leaders."
Also included on the list were seven ACU alumni. Katie (Banta '99) Alford graduated with a degree in finance, David Cranfill ('95) received degrees in biblical text and marketing, Jenny (Crawford '96) Goode graduated with a bachelor's degree in social work and a master's degree in social services administration, Jason Groves ('00) received a degree in marketing, Sidney (Schumann '99) Levesque graduated with a degree in journalism, Frank Peck, Jr. ('92) received a degree in management and Ron L. Richert ('93) graduated with a degree in corporate fitness.
Boisvert graduated from ACU in 1997 with a bachelor's degree in marketing. Along with his current duties at Abilene Christian, Boisvert serves as vice president for Pharos Resources, LLC, an organization focused on revolutionizing the process by which universities care for students and deliver counseling services, according to the Pharos Web site. He has served as a marketing consultant for many different companies across Texas and Arizona. Boisvert has held multiple positions at ACU, including an instructor of marketing, and as executive director of ACU's Office of Career and Academic Development.
Williams, an Abilene City Council member, serves as a board member of several community-enhancing groups including United Way of Abilene, Neighborhoods in Progress, African American Leadership Council West Texas and Texas Municipal League. In 2004, Abilene Big Brothers Big Sisters named him "Big Brother of the Year." He received his bachelor's degree from McMurry University in 1993.
"This designation clearly shows that our mission--to educate students for Christian service and leadership around the world--is very alive, even here at home," said Money.
