Texas State Representative to speak at ACU on faith and leadership, March 11
In honor of World Rotaract Week, Texas State Rep. Susan King will be speaking at a Chapel Forum in Moody Coliseum on Tuesday, March 11 at 7 p.m. King's topic will be "Faith and Leadership." The forum, hosted by the Abilene Rotaract Club, will include a speech by King, along with a short presentation on Rotaract International, a youth service branch of Rotary International. The Abilene Rotaract Club, led by ACU students, focuses on community service and developing leadership skills.

"As a part of World Rotaract Week, we are hosting the Chapel Forum with Rotarian Susan King, and we’re also sponsoring a fundraiser on March 13," said the Abilene Rotaract Club President, Brian Brown, senior political science major from Fort Collins, Colo. "We are looking forward to the opportunity to serve, and are hoping to gain more members who are also interested in community service who will want to join our branch of the Rotaract Club."

World Rotaract Week celebrates the anniversary of the founding of Rotaract in 1968. In addition to sponsoring Tuesday night's Chapel Forum, on Thursday, the Abilene Rotaract Club will host a "Guitar Hero" tournament in ACU's Campus Center, 4-9 p.m. Participants will be charged a $5 entry fee, and prizes will be awarded to the winners. All proceeds from the tournament will be donated to the Sanyu Babies Home in Uganda.
