The Christian pop group Newsboys will be performing in ACU's Moody Coliseum on Friday, March 7 as part of their GO Tour. The Newsboys will be joined by Rush of Fools, Newworldson and Article One. The group was formed in Australia in 1985, and has since become an internationally recognized and best-selling Christian group with hits like Shine, Entertaining Angels and I Am Free. The Newsboys have been nominated for four Grammy awards, including "Best Rock/Contemporary Gospel Album" for Not Ashamed and "Best Rock Gospel Album" for Take Me to Your Leader. They have won several other awards, including a Billboard Music Award, five Dove Awards, a Nashville Music Award and a SESAC Award.
The Newsboys have also co-authored a book with Jim Laffoon from the Every Nation organization, a group of churches dedicated to spreading the message of the Bible to all nations.
The concert is open to the public and will begin at 7 p.m. Ticket prices range from $22 to $35 and are available at the Moody Box Office, KGNZ Radio, Lifeway Christian in Abilene, Family Christian in San Angelo and SunTrax in Snyder.
