Abilene Christian University freshmen will once again fill the stage of ACU's Cullen Auditorium for Freshman Follies, a musical variety show written, choreographed and performed entirely by the freshmen, Sept. 28-29.This year's theme "UTube," which stands for "University Television," will feature life through the eyes of an ACU freshman as viewed through the lens of a television camera, said Tom Craig, director of Freshman Follies.
"It's a great way for freshmen to meet people at the beginning of their freshman year, build an amazing show together and have a blast on stage," said Craig. "It's a unique show that delivers something new every year…just like each freshman class."
The show features both song and dance acts performed by residence halls and smaller groups with varied talents. Tickets are $10 each, general seating. To purchase tickets, call 325-674-4864 or order online at www.acu.edu/follies.
Show times are Friday, Sept. 28 at 8 p.m. and Saturday, Sept. 29 at 1 p.m., 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. The doors will open 30 minutes prior to show time.
Freshman Follies is part of a broader Parents Weekend at ACU which will take place Sept. 28-29, consisting of activities for parents of current or graduated ACU students. To learn more about Parents Weekend, visit www.acu.edu/events/follies/parentsweekend.html.
