"Words cannot express the sorrow we have in our hearts as the family, close friends and ACU community mourn the loss of Aaron Fry," said Dr. Jean-Noel Thompson, vice president and dean for student life. "I am confident that many are in diligent prayer, and that God's hand will offer peace in this tragic loss."
Fry graduated from Grandview High School in May 2003. At ACU, he was involved in the social club Gamma Sigma Phi, and played trumpet in ACU's Big Purple.
"All students leave an impression with you during your class time together and some leave an impression that lasts far beyond the last day of class," said Dr. David Wright, assistant professor of management sciences at ACU. "Aaron was just such a student. He was a very good student but even more, he was a delight to have in class. He often contributed to discussions through a wonderful sense of humor making the entire class enjoyable through laughter. I will truly miss Aaron."
Fry is survived by his parents Buddy and Debbie Fry of Grandview, and sister
Brittany ('03).
Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 22 at 2 p.m. at Grandview High School. A special Chapel service is being planned for early this semester.
