Admissions Deadlines

Beginning for Fall 2010, ACU will no longer admit students on a "rolling basis". Students should apply and expect to be notified about admission according to the dates below.

November 1: (Early Action) Students wishing to be reviewed early based on their transcripts through the junior year must take the SAT or ACT no later than October.  Application files must be complete by this date to be considered.  Nonbinding notification will be made on or before December 1.
 
After receiving an offer of admission, students will confirm their offer by submitting a $250 enrollment deposit and the Intent to Enroll form.  A Housing Preference form may be submitted once these are received. 


February 15: (Regular deadline) Students wanting to include their fall semester grades will receive notification by March 15. Applications received after February 15 will be considered for a position on our waitlist.

March 31: (Waitlist Application Closing) Students who have not applied and/or submitted all required admissions documents must do so by March 31 to be considered for the waitlist. A student who applies for the waitlist is not guaranteed a spot on the waitlist, nor will a student accepted onto the waitlist be guaranteed a spot in the Fall 2010 class. However, if even one space becomes available, all waitlisted students' files will be reviewed and carefully considered for full admission to ACU.
 
May 1: (National Candidates Reply Date)
This is the date the Enrollment Deposit and Intent to Enroll Form are due for students who are admitted and decide to attend Abilene Christian University. However, as noted above, students may submit them at any time after admission has been granted, and we encourage students to do so as space fills quickly. Students who do not submit their enrollment deposit and intent to enroll form by this date may forfeit their spot in the Fall 2010 class to a waitlisted student.

Requests for enrollment deposit refunds must be submitted in writing postmarked May 1 for consideration.
 
May 7: (Final Admissions Notifications Mailed)
Waitlisted students will be notified of a final admissions decision by this date. Students who are not admitted and are still interested in attending ACU may apply for admission for Spring 2011.
